FULL VIEW TO SEE THE PRETTY CLEARNESS!
well, i guess this is also a tribute to "itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini" by Brian Hyland.
it's such an old song, lol, but i love it 
this was inspired by katy perry's california gurls (although not the music video). i was also looking up some retro-style art the other day, and i really wanted to try out the style. when california gurls came up on the radio, i rapidly sketched this down. well, actually, draft#1. which was done at about 10:30 at night in a moving vehicle with only the lights of the streetlamps to show me what i was doing, and which i totally erased later when i got home that night.
i found the artist and the piece that inspired this style [link] and used it as reference. i also used [link] for the beach and made it more cartoony by playing with filters (these things are awesome possum, i'm telling you.
) i originally drew this in my sketchbook, and since i didn't have my scanner available at the time, i took a pic, uploaded, and photoshoped on top. so that's why there's a "camera info" thing on the side.
ummm tell me what you think? if possible, i'd like some feed back from people who've actually had a lot of experience in drawing this style (unlike me). any feedback's great. thanks! ^_^

edit: oh, i remember what i wanted to say: i vectored this on photoshop, but since photoshop is a pixel based program and not a vector based one, i'm not sure if this is the right category to put this in. if this is the incorrect category to place this in, please tell me which category would be the correct one thanks!
