so today (saturday) i went to AX (KYA! :fangirl squeal: )and... hmm, lets see... uh, i'll just list out in (somewhat) chronological (sp) what i did today XD
1)went to 'yum cha' with some friends (yum cha = chinese food on carts. it is teh epicness XD)
2)went to the la convention center
3)since we were paying at the door, we got lost trying to find the place to get the badges... -3-;
4)waited for a friend who also went to AX (lolz, the phone conversation to find each other was hilarious. "where are you?" "i'm in the main lobby." "i don't see you." "you don't see me? i'm wearing black and i'm talking on the phone." "... there are a gazillion other peopl like that..." -3-

(note: this part is not in chronological order since i didn't have any piccies )

-I FOUND AND I GOT A MY SEASONS! YAY! :heart (oh, about the 1st person who wasn't letting me be in denial: [<-- spelled right w00t!] i can NEVER stay mad at her for long >_< so i end up forgiving her even if i don't want to... )
-i also got a bookmark and a key chain and by then a good deal of my money was spent XP
-walked around more, got business cards
-got a marik & bakura fanart (on my room's wall), a sketch commission (also on my wall. no, not the facebook one XP ), a 9 movie poster (watch the trailer! comes out 9-9-09 lolz)
-friend 1 (the one i wanted to stay bad at but couldn't) got an adorable panda hat
-friend 2 (the one with the long phone conversation) got a SIGNED dante (sp?) poster and we fangirled over the art

okay, back to chronological order...

6)we all decided to go sit down b/c our feet were hurting, and we met up with friend 3 who didn't know friend 2 so i introduced them and we all sat down together
7)drew for a while
8)friend 2 & 3 went off to find a cosplay outfit, i called them back cuz 1 and i were getting hungry
9)SUSHI LUNCH! 8D
10)went to the arcade with 2 & 3, but since i was broke (unless you count about 13 cents not broke) and it was too loud (my poor sensitive ears...), i went to find 1.
11)1 and i decided to go to the ygotas table where we found a marik cosplayer (not a good one but it's still really fun to take pics anyways :3 ) and we watched screenings of ygotas
12)2 called me asking where i was and so i told her to meet us at the ygotas table
13)oh! and the artist of pon and zi was right next to the ygotas table and (since 1 and i were broke) got a small button with an adorable cat on it ) and we're gonna share or something... however that works out <_> and the artist signed a little slip of paper for me and it had the CUTEST CHIBI EVER! it was (i think) one of those plants in the mario series that come at you and try ot eat you, and the plant was mad at a chibi of pon/zi, and pon/zi was all like "?!!" so cute! kyaaaa! :fangirl scream:
14)friends 2&3 find 1 and i, we watch a little of ygotas (the christmas kaiba one)
15)walk around a little more, 3 buys a wooden sword and goes downstairs to get the tag thing so ppl know it isn't a real weapon or something
16)we're tired all over again and so we sit down. i read my seasons (ahh it's so cute!) while 2&3 talk about stuff i don't want to mention in a pg journal
17)when we have enough rest we go outside to (originally) buy some icecream, but we end up not getting any since we're all broke
18)we stay in the main lobby taking pics of cosplayers
19)we watch c-zone preform (THEY'RE SO CUTE! AHHH!)
20)the person who carpooled me over there (who i also can never stay mad at for long) said it's time to go and we leave 2&3 behind
21)take some more pics in the lobby before leaving to eat an early dinner

oh, and the whole time i was taking pics. will not be uploaded for the privacy of the cosplayers. (suckerrrssss~ XD)

so yeah, that's my AX story.

in conclusion (sounds like an essay >_< ):
1)i can't stay mad at people
2)(i think)even if cosplays are bad, if there's no one else cosplaying, then it's fun to take pics, especially when they quote from ygotas XD
3)it's hard to cosplay someone with bangs, and it looks horrible if you cut the hair straight across.
4)90% of people there are taller then me. the other 10% are kids... -3-;
5)even with a camera that has autofocus, pictures can still come out blurry. the small screen didn't help.
6)if you want to cosplay as someone, either do a common character AND DO IT WELL or cosplay as a very well known figure AND DO IT WELL. if it's a man crossdressing then it's okay cuz it's just hilarious.
7)i feel sorry for the cosplayers who are dressing up as furries. it must be uber hot in that costume...
8)you can cosplay as someone who isn't even in an anime (koff koff joker koff dark knight koff)
9)it's a lot more fun taking candid pictures instead of posed pictures because... well, just because.
10) stuff is expensive at AX. (i was broke within the first two hours, people! or maybe i just didn't bring enough money... >_> )
11)japanese girls with high pitched (yet not whiny) voices ARE SO CUTE! AHHH~!

... yeah. that was kinda a rant too, i guess, but it wasn't pessimistic at least
